A California native by coincidence, Justin Michael Greenway lives in his childhood home of Portland, Oregon, where he returned in 2010 after the devastation of The Great Recession stripped him of his prosperity and left him in need of the healing properties of The Great Pacific Northwest. It was in the first few dark years of struggle in Portland that he took advantage of periods of unemployment to fulfill a dream and write his first novel, Ravenword and The House of the Red Death.
The book was published through Amazon’s publishing division, CreateSpace to beta-test the novel as a new author. It has met with surprising success, but the valuable lessons in the endeavor and the feedback from readers have proven to be unexpectedly rewarding. In 2019, Justin spent much of the year traveling to educate himself, promote his novel, and network with amazing authors and industry professionals. He is currently working on two new projects as well as revisiting the Ravenword and The House of the Red Death manuscript in hopes of launching a second edition. His priotirty, however, for 2024 is to build his platform and partner with a fantastic literary agent to introduce Ravenword to a wider audience.
